     Length of veil?

My wedding will be taking place outdoors in a botanical garden at 4:30pm, followed by dinner in a pretty formal setting.
I'd like to wear a veil, but am uncertain as to the length of veil to wear? I was told a longer one would "flow" with my dress better, but isn't longer for a very formal church wedding? What length do you recommend?

Also, would wearing a few flowers in my hair be appropriate with a veil? Nothing overdone, just a couple...

I'd probably be wearing my hair done up with the veil at the back under my hair-do (no veil over face).

And do certain materials look better with dresses? My dress is organza on the top layer.

SmileIn terms of comfort I think a fingertip length veil is really nice. You should try on a couple of lengths though to see what you think with your dress. Often you can get two pieces and can detach the longer one when you get to the reception.

As far as flowers go it looks really nice to nest just a couple of blooms onto the curls or pull back point where the veil is attached. To do this have your florist just wire up individual flowers similar to a bouttionneire with a 5 inch flexible covered wire as a stem. The hairdresser can weave and twist them through your hair and secure them easily with the wire. Stay away from clips and heavy hardwear...Gravity is not a friend in hair design.

Enjoy and have a beautiful wedding!
