     Pregnant Bride's Veil

My daughter will be 5 months pregnant when she gets married in an elaborate outdoor wedding in July in Las Vegas. The venue is a lakeside wedding garden, with seating for the guests (approx 75) and a garden aisle to walk down. Her father is giving her away. She's wearing a formal, strapless, ivory gown and has chosen a tiara and two layer wrist length veil. How should she wear the veil?

Congratulations on your daughter's wedding! The way she wears her veil depends on the way her hair is going to be styled. If it is a classic "updo", the veil could be placed under the bun, to show off the hair style and tiara better. If she'd rather go for the popular "partially up, partially down" style with curls, the veil could be placed over the curls and then removed after the ceremony.

Thank you! I wasn't sure since she's pregnant and all and will be showing if a veil was appropriate. She's already ordered it though, so I'm sure she's going to wear it!!

The days of this being a problem are gone. Only married women wouldn't wear this type of veil. But, perhaps this will change one of these days as well.
