Veil to go with formal wedding dress

I have attached a picture of my dress. The wedding is formal. I am hoping to have my hair up with the veil tucked in at the back of my head; removing it for the reception.

I was thinking of a long veil, not with a train, just going to about mid-calf. The fingertip length veil feels like it cuts off at the wrong spot. What sort of veil would go well with my dress?

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! With the formality of your dress and ceremony, the fingertip veil is definitely not enough and would take away from your bridal image. It should be either Cathedral length, or if you don't want it to be that long, go for the Sweep length, which is a classic for a formal wedding. If you chose Ballerina lenght, it might take away from the beauty of your traditional dress, by exactly "cutting off at the wrong spot", just like you are saying. Good luck and enjoy the wedding!
