veil length with cathedral train, a lot of detail on back of gown
I' m wearing a gown with a cathedral length train. It also has a lot of detail on the back of the gown. It is a strapless gown, and I will be wearing a sheer shrug/jacket that comes with the gown that has long trumpet sleeves with lace edging. I have a tiara I will be wearing as well. What length veil? I want the detail on the back to be seen. Is finger tip ok? It is a 3PM ceremony in a catholic church.

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! Sounds like you will be wearing a gorgeous gown! Fingertip length veil might take away from the beauty of the entire ensemble, since it will hit the back of the gown at the wrong spot. It would look much better with the Ballerina length veil, or, better yet, a Sweep length. When measuring the length of the Sweep veil, however, make sure the detailing on the back of the gown will still be showing sufficiently. If it covers part of the detailing, go for the Ballerina length. Good luck and enjoy the wedding!
