im getting married in two months and everything else is pretty much ready.. im working on the wedding programs now.. however, is it ok for me to totally create my own program? i mean, not including the ceremony orders and songs? i plan on doing something fun like saying a couple sentences about the wedding party members and a questionaire about us.. is it ok?

Dear Creative,
Programs are not bound by strict etiquette rules. However, these are supposed to inform the guests about the sequence of the wedding and to introduce those involved. It is fine to create these yourself. And, it would be best to keep these as brief as possible.
Having said that, all weddings are different and all people are individuals. So, if you know your guests and feel as if they will appreciate this, then you are fine.

thanks so much for the advice, one more quick question.. either one of my parents will be attending the wedding. my mom is sick and my dad and i r not really on good terms.. my boss which i also consider my mentor will be walking me down the aisle.. if that's the case, should i put my fiance's parents names on the program? i dont want to leave them out just cuz mine wont be there.. but would it be funny if i only put their names as parents of the groom and nothing on my side? as for my boss, i want to acknowledge her in the program as well, what kind of title should i put for her name? thanks again
