     Description of wedding party

Several members of our wedding party are significant others of other party members (for example, the bride's brother is a groomsman, and his girlfriend is a bridesmaid). We want to include a description of each member of the wedding party in the program (ex: best man - friend of the groom), but how should we describe these people?

If they are an attendant, they should be close to one or the other of you. You don't select someone as an attendant just because they are "related somehow" to another attendant. That being said, they would either be a friend of the bride, the groom or both.
