How to list an ex-step mother in the ceremony program

Hello,

My fiance's parents are divorced. The mother is remarried. The father, John, was remarried for 10 years and this now ex-step mother, Sally, thinks of my fiance as a son and helped raise him. The father is now remarried again, so I plan on listing Parents of the Groom as:

Mr. John Smith and wife Jane Smith

However, we are having the ex step mother, Sally walk down the aisle with the mothers and feel we should list her in the program. How should we do this?

Thank you!

Dear Franklin,

We usually list our special guests as "honored guest...". It is very nice and gracious to include her as a mother. Steps are often treated as second class. Hopefully more will follow your lead.

Best wishes,
