How to refer to non-parent bridal escort in program

How does one refer to the bridal escort in the program? My best friend is getting married and her father passed away last year. Her best male friend (other than the groom) is walking her down the aisle. The best thing we can come up with is "Escort of the Bride." Is that the best way to refer to him?

Thank you!!

Dear Friend,

He is her escort, so this is the proper term. That is a good way to list him.

Best wishes,
