     Mentioning separated parents on program

My parents are separated, my dad has a girlfriend. Mom is being seated in the first row and dad and girlfriend are being seated in the third row.

How do I mention my parents on the program? They still share the same name. I didnt want to put their names on the same line, Jane Smith and John Smith, as it may appear they are still married and neither of them would like this appearance.

I tried to not have the girlfriend but its a complicated issue that involves children and perception of how they see their relationship and my father would not come without her.

Dear Separating Parents,

Perhaps you could mention them on separate lines, such as Mother of the bride: Jane Smith with the next line Father of the bride and escort: John Smith and Girlfriend.

Best wishes,
