Order of listing bridesmaids in wedding program

I did a search and found that you are to list the bridesmaids in the order they appear. Does this mean the order they are standing at the front, or the order they walk in? Typically I’ve seen the maid of honor listed first on the program (and she walks in last), so I’m a little confused.
Do you list the maid of honor first and then the bridesmaid that will be standing next to her, and so on?

Dear MOB07, it is customary to list the Parents of the Bride and then the parents of the Groom, next you can list the MOH and Best Man, then list the attendants as they appear at the altar, listing bridesmaids first and then groomsmen.
