     Program Wording

I am writing the program for my wedding. My husband to be his sister in standing in for his mother who is in Africa and will not be here for the ceremony. An usher will walk her down the aisle and she will seat were his mother would have sat if she were here. I don't know how to word this on the program so far i have

prelude

lighting of the candles........ushers

seating............................Jane Doe (his sister name would be here)

Seating of the Parents....... Mr. and Mrs. John Doe (my parents name would be here)

Can you help me. I don't know how to refer to her on the seating.

Dear Wording Problems,

You could use the Seating of the parents reference for her as well. Just state that she is the sister. You really don't have to explain. Or, you could list her as you did, but as 'special seating' with sister of the groom next to her name.

Best wishes,
