     Wedding Program Etiquette

My best friends parents have become "parents" to me over the years. I would like to include them on the program as honored guests. I am not sure how to refer to them. I am thinking of "Honorary Parents of the Groom." Is that appropriate? Is there a better term to use than "Honorary." Thank oyu so much for your help.

Are your own parents alive and attending the ceremony?
