     Wedding Program Wording

My fiance's parents have been divorced for 8 years. Her mother has since remarried, and her father has been dating his girlfriend for 4+ years. My fiance is not extremely close to her father's girlfriend, however, we still would like to somehow include her on our wedding program. What is the best way to disclose mother & step-father, father & father's girlfriend without causing too much of an uproar.

Dear September,

You could list them as Mother of the Bride and husband: Mr. and Mrs. John Smith; Father of the Bride and significant other: Mr. Sam Doe and Ms. Jane Jones.

This would probably be the most neutral and safe. And, it is acknowledging everyone.

Best wishes,
