how to mention the groom's deceased father in wedding program

I need some samples of how to mention the groom's deceased father in our program. He doesn't want to do the traditional "in memory of"; he wants something more. But I am not a writer and I'm having difficulty finding sample wording. Any suggestions? Thank you.

You could provide a reading or poem during the ceremony and mention that it is dedicated to the deceased. I don't have any other ideas.
