A family friend made the wedding party flowers and I want to put a thank you to her in the wedding program. I wrote... "special thanks to Jane Doe, who could not be here today, for making the wedding party flowers." Is that good enough or how should I write it? How should I acknowledge her in the wedding program?

Re: how to write thank you in wedding program

Dear Cyn,
The wedding program is basically just a document that explains what is happening during the wedding and who the principal players are. So, if your friend isn't there, there really is no reason to list her. It may be best to just thank her during your speech and send her a very nice thank you note.
