     Bridal party standing throughout ceremony?

1) At the beginning of the ceremony, the MOH and bridesmaids stands next to the bride and vice versa with the groom and his groomsmen. When do they go to sit down, or does everyone keep on standing throughout the ceremony?

2) When exactly does the bride hand her flowers to the MOH and when should she take it back (for exchanging the rings)? I assume she gives it only after the MOH has handed the groom's ring to the wedding officiant, since she (MOH) has to hold on to both her bouquet and the brides, right? Thanks!

Dear Bride to Be,

You are trying to answer questions that your clergy will determine. Every officiant has his own way of structuring the ceremony and it is best to not worry about it until rehearsal or in your preparatory meetings. He will tell you exactly how to do it.

Dear Bride-to-be:

Like Nancy stated, each clergymember has his or her own way of conducting a ceremony and it will also depend on whether you have any special cultural traditions to consider. Speaking from my experience, the wedding attendants remain standing on their respective sides during the ceremony. The point at which the Bride hands over her bouquet to the MOH generally is at the lighting of the unity candle and/or the exchanging of rings.

Cheers!
