Catholic blessing at Humanist, non-religious wedding

Hello,

My fiance is atheist but I have been brought up a Catholic. My mother is keen for us to get married in a Catholic ceremony, but we have been considering a Humanist ceremony in order to best reflect our shared beliefs. Would it be possible to have a Catholic blessing as part of a Humanist (or other non-religious) ceremony?

Thanks!

In our humble opinion, you need to talk with a priest.

It is doubtful that the Catholic Church would participate in a non-religious ceremony, but you might be able to get dispensation to depart from the accepted Catholic wedding ceremony.

God bless and guide you in your decisions.
