     Confused

Me and my fiancee will be getting married June 25th 2005, and he is of the Catholic religion and from out of state because of the military. and i am Luthern. We are getting married in my home town, and he wants a catholic priest and i want a luthern minister. Now is there anyway to have both present? And in order to have a catholic priest does he have to be a member of that church? Please help!

You pose interesting questions... that should raise more questions. If your demominational connection is important to you (sounds like it is), what are your plans for your religious life after you are married? Will he attend the Catholic Church and you the Lutheran? Will it be "shared custody" of the children on Sunday? If you work out the solution to these (and similar) questions before you get married, you should be able to resolve the clergy issue.

Having said that... I have performed wedding celebrations with other clergy people present (such as a rabbi or priest) and such is not unheard of. But the persons you need to ask your first question of is your priest and lutheran pastor. By asking them the first question - you should get the answer to the second.
