     Escorting Mother of the Groom

Is it acceptable for me, as the Groom, to escort my Mother down the aisle? Or would this be sending a message to the Bride that my Mother is receiving more importance from me than my future spouse?

Dear EdTarboosh,

There is nothing wrong with you doing this, but you are right. It just may give that impression. It may be best to escort both mothers.

Best wishes,
