I know there is not a set price but what is the most common amount for a small wedding of 4 people in the wedding party and small amount of guests, 50, to pay the pastor of a small church for the wedding and the fellowship hall? Thank you

Re: [princess52] How much do you pay the pastor?

Dear Princess,
Most pastors of small churches don't set a price. To perform weddings for congregants it's usually $100-$200 dollars as an honorarium. To rent the fellowship hall for a small reception is usually handled by the church secretary and is a set price to cover the cost for the use of the electricity. It varies but around $300.00 dollars isn't unheard of. Depends on the location and the size. Keep in mind one of the most important persons in your ceremony is the officiant and usually the most neglected monetarily...
