Hyphenating my name after I am married

I looked through the questions on this site about hyphenating your last name, and I didn't find a response to my question. I like my last name. It's very ethnic and I consider it a cool link to my ancestors. My fiance has a Welsh name. I would love to hyphenate our names, but I've heard there many arguments against it. Would it be a hassel to hyphenate?

There is no "hassle" but you will have to make sure that this is the way your name appears on the marriage license and that wil be the name associated with all legal documents.

Name Change Kit

This kit makes changing your name easy.

Thanks for the link to that wonderful kit. I'll be putting in my order for that very, very soon. Smile The 'hassle' I referred to was with having both names recognized. I've been online seeking articles written by women who hyphenated and wanted to share their experiences. For the most part it's a matter of preference, but it seems a lot of women complained that it was a hassle filling a perscription and things like that because of the hyphenated name. In these articles, I found what I was looking for: inspiration.Smile

Thanks again,

M~

Ah..I see...well, it is a matter of personal preference. What is a hassle to some may not be to others. Smile
