     Including Readings in a ceremony

I would like to include three short readings in my wedding ceremony. When in the ceremony do these take place?

It depends on the type of readings.

For example, love poetry works well just before the solemnization of vows.

A biblical verse can go just after a cleric's opening words or before the address to the couple.

If the reading sounds like a parting blessing for the marriage, it can go at the end of the ceremony.

If you have three readings, it is good to spread them apart. Also, you can have three honored guests read. It is a lovely way to include family and friends!
