Our boys will be 2 and 4 when we are married...We want to do something in the ceremony that symbolizes uniting us as a family...besides reading vows to the boys, does anyone have any ideas on how to do this? If they were girls, we would exchange rings with both of them...but honestly niether of us want our boys wearing rings lol.

I need to get some clarification before answering.
Is this your first marriage? Are you both the parents of these children or is this a stepfamily situation? This is the first time you are marrying each other, correct? Top Wedding Questions Forum Moderator - "Write your sorrows in the sand, your blessings in stone".

Yes, this is our first marriage. Neither of us has ever been married before. We each have a child that is not of this relationship, so it is indeed a step-family situation. Sorry, it was late last night, I should have been more specific!

I think the family unity candle ceremony would be a nice idea to include the kids and to demonstrate that you are now a family. God Bless Deacon Bob Tousey
