Involving both Maids of Honor in the Ceremony

I have two Maids of Honor, and I would like advice concerning how to have both involved in the traditional Maid of Honor duties during the ceremony. I don't want one to feel any more or less important than the other, but it seems that the straightening of the train, holding of the bouquet, etc. are all one-woman jobs. Should I have each assigned to specific ceremonial tasks? Or should they alternate turns, e.g., when it comes to straightening the train, etc.

Thanks!

Dear STLbride,

There is no rule about this, so anything you do is by choice. Usually the tasks are shared.

Best wishes,

There are so many roles that maids of honor will play during the entire engagement through the ceremony and reception that you will have many opportunities to make both feel valuable. When you have your rehearsal, there will be natural roles that both are best at or available for. Trust that they will work out an effective way to help you. Being selected as an honor attendant is a lot more meaningful than who straightens the train and who holds your bouquet. Continue to express to both how important they are to you, and you'll be fine.

Thank you both very much! This helps me feel more at ease with the whole situation.
