I am having a very informal intimate outside wedding next summer. My bridesmaids and I are walking down the aisle before the ceremony, while the groom and groomsmen are standing waiting. We will be standing in the middle, while our guests are standing around us in a circle. The whole ceremony is only 5 min. We will be standing near the tables for the reception. Also, we are taking pictures before the ceremony so we won't need to do those after the ceremony! My question is since we are not having a recieving line do we really need to walk back down the aisle? I was thinking after the ceremony we could just let everyone start to sit down and let the reception begin...does this sound ok?
Thanks in Advance!!

This is very non-traditional but I don't think it would be a breech of etiquette. It will probably be confusing for the guests unless you're planning to greet them and invite them to have a seat. Nancy Tucker President of Weddings Beautiful US http://www.weddingsbeautiful.com

This should be fine as long as there is some sort of announcement to the guests that the reception is beginning. Rebecca Black, Etiquette Now
