     No seating at ceremony

Is it rude to expect guests to stand for an outdoor wedding ceremony? We were only going to provide seats for the parents and everyone else to stand due to cost?

Dear Butts97,

The comfort of your guests is always primary, however if the service is a short one and the weather is pleasant, this is not uncommon. When you have to worry is when it is overly hot. Always be prepared with a plan B for an outdoor ceremony and don't forget your handicapped guests who may not be able to stand for 20-30 minutes.

I completely agree. Even 20 minutes may be difficult for some. So having an extra 10 seats available would be best.

Also, it would be helpful to have microphones so the guests can hear you if it is allowed. With most people standing, they may not be able to hear you.

Best wishes,
