On which arms do the groomsmen offer

I know that whoever is ushering the bride down the aisle offers his right arm.

If the bridesmaids were entering the church with the groomsmen in pairs, would they also take the right arm of the groomsmen?

Thank you

Dear Kathy,

Yes, the bride would be on her escort's right arm and the same would be true for the groomsmen.

I have conflicting references that state both the right and left arms and why (very strange). But, I believe you are correct that the bride is on the right of her escort for Christian ceremonies.

Best wishes,

Thank you.

I thought that if the bride went down the aisle on her father's right arm she would be standing next to her husband once she was down the aisle.
