Playing Canon in D for Wedding Processional

I am planning my wedding and have stumbled upon a small issue. I have always liked the Canon in D instrumental played at weddings. Usually it is played as the bridal party is walking up the aisle. I would like to have that played as I walk up, and something else instrumental as the bridal party walks up the aisle. Is this strange or wrong?

This is an outside wedding in my local Botanical Gardens.

Although not traditional, that is perfectly acceptable to use Canon in D for your procession. Enjoy.
