     Recessional then Releasing Guests

My groom and I have chosen a fun, upbeat and meaningful (to us) song for the recessional...Keith Urban's Once In a Lifetime. I do want to walk back up the aisle with him by my side and steal a kiss and hug in the back of the sanctuary, before guests leave.

But I'd also like to personally "release" the guests row by row using that as way to thank them individually rather than the typical receiving line.

Would it be weird for us to loop back around after the recessional to do that? Suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

That's not wierd, it's being done a lot. You will recess normally and then when all of the bridal party has left, you go back down the aisle together and start by releasing the parents and so on.
