     Seating at ceremony..

I am just curious if you HAVE to have a bride and groom side. My family is very very small and his is huge and I don't want 5 people on my side and 100 on his. Is is proper just to have ushers seat guests wherever they prefer (obviously other than the parents in the front row)? Thanks!

Dear Small Family,

No, you do not need to have a bride and groom's side. You could block off the first two to three rows on both sides for the ushers to seat special family members. With the remaining guests the ushers could allow them to sit on either side.

Best wishes,
