I already posted this question but it seems to have dissapeared. I would like to know how many square feet would i need to hold a ceremony for 100 guests either sitting or standing. I believe that the room i have in mind is about 25feet by 15. Is that enough?
It really depends on the design/architecture of the area. Did you try asking the person in charge of booking at the venue how many people can be in the room either standing or sitting? If this is a regular wedding ceremony site, that question should be easily answered by the site coordinator. Rhonda Allen, Bridal Consultant New Beginnings Weddings

Re: [expertplanner] Space for ceremony
[In reply to]
sorry i didn't explain enough. its at the grooms aunts house, there is plenty of room for the reception, because it's going to be outside with tents and everything. But we want that particular room that i mentioned before, for the ceremony (which is the living room area) because it has a very high ceiling, wonderful acoustics (which is necessary because his other aunt is going to sing "ave maria") and it already has a sort of altar like place at one end. At the other end are glass doors that give access to the porch and pool area. (i, the bride will be entering through those doors)So in your experience as a wedding planner, do you think there will be enough room for 100 sitting or standing guests? and if not how much room would be necessary?
