Two Maids of Honor, One Best Man

Hi,

I have chosen my two sisters to be co-Maids of Honor (both never married) in my wedding, and my fiancee will have only one Best Man. I read from an earlier post on the website that it is perfectly normal to have the Best Man escort both Maids of Honor in the processional/recessional. However, we both have five attendants on each side, which leaves us with three bridesmaids and four groomsmen left after the honor attendants. How should we handle the extra groomsman in processional/recessional? Is it acceptable to have two groomsmen escort one bridesmaid, or would one groomsman just walk alone?

Thanks!

Either way would be fine. Please remember to ask only one question per post. Thanks.

Sorry about the two questions. I've posted the second separately.

Regarding my sisters, how would you recommend they stand during ceremony and then bridal party pictures so that one doesn't feel more or less important than the other?

Thanks for your earlier reply!

It also depends on how your processional and recessional operate. During many processionals the ladies will walk up the aisle unescorted, then pair up with the gentlemen and walk back down the aisle for the recessional. The one who stands closest to you will probably walk up the aisle last (of the bridesmaids). During the recessional, it really doesn't matter. If one happens to walk with a groomsman, it doesn't demote her to a regular bridesmaid. Think of the overall role of the honor attendants and don't worry too much about the little logistics that will make the ceremony operate.

This would be considered a second question. Next time, please, post as new.
