     Water ceremony

My fiance and I are considering adding a water ceremony into our wedding. Where does it originate and how should it be performed?

I'm not sure what you you mean by water ceremony. Water can be used in a number of ways during a wedding celebration. For example, in a Thai wedding you may see water, blessed by monks, is put in a decorative bowl. A shell is used to scoop a small amount of water which is poured over the couples palms as they are seated at a decorated table with their hands held over a cushion. You may find water used in a theme wedding or a wedding where water is used in the symbolism of unity. Perhaps you could reply and provide a little more information on the ceremony element you are asking about.
