Hello Amanda. I would love to answer your question but I don't know what water unity ritual you are talking about - can you please explain further? Thank you.

Hello Amanda,

The Water Unity or Wedding Blessing Ritual is a pouring of water from two vessels into a common larger vessel, as an alternative to a unity candle or sand ritual.

I performed it for a wedding on the beach, and it was lovely. Here are the words I used:

"_______and______, your individual vessels of water represent your individual lives.

Please pour your water into a common vessel symbolizing the joining of your lives in marriage.

(After they pour:)

Like water, life will have its falls. There will be gentle falls like water babbling over small stones in a brook, and sometimes there will be breathtaking cascades. But like life, water will inevitably rise again from each fall like mist evaporating from the sea in an eternal cycle.

_____and______, we pray that no storm will last so long as to shadow your spirit. We pray that your love will be never ending."

(loosely inspired by the words of Tess Baumberger)

Blessings!
