Where do we seat the step parents during the wedding ceremony?

My son is getting married. His father and I divorced many years ago and I have remarried. His father has remarried twice since our divorce. His ex-wife and his current wife are planning to attend my son's wedding. The problem is who sits where? I'm assuming I sit in the first row as MOG with my husband but where does everyone else sit?

Dear Diverdj,

You would sit in the first row with your husband. The groom's father and current wife sit in the third row. The former stepmother would sit in the fourth row as a special guest, unless your son doesn't care for her. If this is the case, she would sit with the other guests.

Best wishes,
