Who escorts the mother of the bride down the aisle at the beginning of the wedding ceremony? She is divorced and not re-married. Her ex-husband and new wife will be there, of course. Should the new wife be escorted down the aisle as well? If so, by whom? Thanks

Dear Serpy:

The MOB is escorted by an Usher. The new wife does not get escorted. She is seated prior to the Ceremony beginning. Her actual placement seating is usually on the third row behind the MOB, alongside her husband.

Cheers!
