bride going down the aisle first

Just found out from the bride of the wedding I am the MOH in, that she will be going down the aisle first. She said it is tradition in Northern Ireland. She said she would go first, followed by me, then the rest of the bridal party. Her train is very long and I think she would have wonderful photos if she went last so the dramatic effect of her train could be captured on film. Has anyone ever heard of this tradition? Our sister just got married and she went down the aisle first but she didnt have a train. Any advice?

None of us are from Northern Ireland. I don;t know what your traditions are, but in the US the bride is always last to walk down the aisle, making a grand entrance. Please check wedding etiquette books in your area.

Sorry, my computer is giving me fits... Bishop Morely checked several books on the subject including ancient celtic traditions and practices. The only thing remotely close is an old druidic ceremony were the bride is followed to the area where she is to be betrothed... Like a parade of sorts... Modern rites and practices have no reference to this...
