     candlelight wedding in the afternoon

This may sound like a silly question but what exactly is the definintion of a candlight wedding? I've always dreamed of having one but our wedding is at 1:30 in the afternoon so I dont know ifthis would work. We'd just have the lights dim and candles on the altar and down the aisle.

Dear dcmel613,

I think the effect of the candlelight ceremony would be beautiful even with your afternoon wedding. Keep the lights on at a reasonable level (for safety and liability reasons) prior to the ceremony. With some candlelight already in place, as the processional begins, have the lights dimmed and begin your processional with each bridesmaid carrying a lighted candle that they can place in a candleabra on the altar.
