     divorced parent seating nightmare

Help! Groom's parents are long divorced. Father has been remarried for 7 years and groom has largely been raised and supported by father--(father is the only parent contributing to the wedding costs.) Mother has a live-in boyfriend. Under these circumstances isn't it appropriate for father to be seated in front row? (since he feels he has earned this honor)---Father has made it clear that mother and boyfriend can also sit in front row. Wedding a a few days!!!!

Dear Parent Seating,

Yes, the father should sit in the front row with his wife. The MOG and her escort may join them if he wishes. But, the third row is also appropriate.

Best wishes,
