     order of bridesmaids

How does one decide the order in which the bridesmaids should come down the aisle? (I realize the maid of honor will be last, just before me.)

Dear JustCurious,

There is no real rule on this, but what usually happens is that you line them up the way you want them to look at the altar. Therefore, you'd want them tallest to shortest on each side generally. The tallest on your side being next to the maid of honor....it's all about picture perfect at that point....

Ok, what do I do with this situation? My maid of honor, a sister, is fairly tall. I'd like my other sister, who is relatively short, next to her. In addition, I have one tall, one average and one short bridesmaid followed by nine-year old jr. bridesmaid! (total=5 bridesmaids + 1 jr. bridesmaid) I don't know what to do! I don't know how to place them to look right! Can you help?

Dear Just Curious,
Like I said there are no rules but you want to do what looks best for your pictures. If that doesn't work with how you want your bridesmaids to stant than go with it.
