seating of divorced parents at wedding ceremony

If the parents of groom are divorced and on speaking terms, if the father sits in the front row with the mother, where does the father's girlfriend sit?

Dear Suebee,

Couples sit together. It isn't polite to split them up. So, if there isn't enough room in the first row, they should sit together in the third row.

Best wishes,
