seating of mother of the bride

I know as mother of the bride I am seated last and sit in the first row, but do I sit on the aisle seat or slide over so my husband sits on the aisle after he walks our daughter down the aisle? What, then, is the proper seating of the mother of the bride?

Dear Mlrunion,

It really doesn't matter. He could sit next to you on either side, on the aisle or in the second seat. But, traditionally, you would sit in the aisle seat.

Best wishes,
