     wedding turned elopement

I am the MOG. The wedding date was set for June 23, and 300 invitations were sent out by the MOB. I just found out that the bride and groom were married in Las Vegas on April 28. I don't know if the other parents know.

I need to know what to do now?

Any advice you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

If the couple has already been married then they can still have their reception but will obviously not be having a wedding ceremony. If they still want to have a ceremony they can have a blessing of their marriage in church.

Whatever they decide to do, the guests must be told about the change in plans. You better get started if you'll be sending a new invitation or calling 300 guests.

I completely agree. We have heard a number of times about guests finding out that they have witnessed a 'wedding' of a couple who is already married and they were not pleased.

It appears as if there should be an honest discussion with all involved.

Good luck!!
