instead of having a flower girl, the groom will be putting the rose petals on the runner. our dilemma is, what to call it. we can`t call it a rose ceremony because we`re not exchanging roses.

Dear Oneministry:
Does the act of placing the petals need to be titled? Top Wedding Questions Forum Moderator - "Write your sorrows in the sand, your blessings in stone".

it doesn`t need to be titled, but we want to notate the act in the program. we are not getting married in the states, and we have guests that will be attending that have never seen a christian american wedding.

I have performed hundreds of weddings - and this is the first time I've heard of this element in a wedding. What an awesome idea! Given that the Bride is the central focus of the ceremony, this only adds to the celebration... like a Princess making her entrance and the Prince providing an appropriate path for her walk to the altar. If you are looking for a program title for this element, why no focus on 'preparing the way for the bride'? Reverend Frye http://www.serviceministries.org
