150 Invited to Ceremony / 50 Invited to Ceremony & Reception

I'm getting married and having a small private dinner reception for 50 people with the reception being at another location.

Is it appropriate to invite 150 people to attend the wedding ceremony if only 50 are invited to the reception dinner?

Dear 150 Invited,

Yes, it is. Usually the guests invited to both will receive a reception invitation along with the wedding invitation.

Sincerely,
