Adding someone to your RSVP card

UGH ... first RSVP problem.

The Groom's, sort of aunt and uncle (old family friends) were invited. We just learned yesterday that they have taken in his second wife's son's 16 year old kid ... I guess he is a problem child needing guidance. Great ... wonderful that they can offer to help out ... however ... we do not know this kid at all and he was not invited. They sent the RSVP card back and wrote in his name .... now what?

How should this be handled ?

I really don't feel like paying an extra $80 for some problem child I don't even know.

Thanks in advance for any help that you all can provide.

You'll have to call them and tell them that, although you'd love to have another guest, there just isn't room in the already filled guest list. Make your apologies.
