     After the wedding

Hello,

I have a question that I cannot seem to find the answer to. This is an after the wedding question. Should family members be called personally after returning back from the honeymoon? Or shoud I wait for them to call me? I am wondering about immediate family (aunts, uncles, etc.) Thank you sooo much!

Hello Carolyn,

This is not necessarily an etiquette question, more of an expectation of your family. Aunts and Uncles for the most part would expect a thank you note. If you are closer to your Aunts and Uncles, by all means give them a call.

Dear Carolyn Joy,

If you want to speak with them, do call to say hi and tell them about your honeymoon. Most relatives will try to give the bride and groom a bit of space after all the activity of the wedding. I am sure they would be thrilled to hear from you!

All the best,
Jodi R R Smith
