Bride Wants Brother to Walk her Down Aisle Not Stepfather

My daughter is getting married next year in June. A year and a half ago she and her stepfather had a serious argument, he has her to leave the house because she was being disrespectful to him, they have not spoken since. Now she wants her brother to walk her down the aisle, I feel so bad but either one of them will set down and talk about their differences, what should I do?

Dear Cgtglt,

I'm guessing that you are talking about a fight between your daughter and her stepfather. Your email wasn't clear.

She didn't have to choose anyone to escort her down the aisle, especially not her stepfather if they are not close. So, her brother is a good choice. And, it is her choice, no one else's.

Hopefully they will talk soon.

Best wishes,
