Cake Cutting: To Eat or Not to Eat?

HI!

I would like to know what is the proper way to serve our wedding cake to our guests? Please keep in mind that we are not having a dessert/sweet table but are having a dessert with our dinner. The wedding cake cutting moment will be done before dessert.

Can the wedding cake be served later in the evening? Or should the wedding cake be wrapped so that guests can take them home to enjoy at their leisure? My last option is to serve the wedding cake wrapped but have dessert plates and forks available if guests choose to enjoy the cake during the reception?

I appreciate any feedback and look forward to reading them all.

Regards,

Michelle

Dear to Eat or Not to Eat!

Any way you'd like to do it is appropriate according to etiquette. But since you say it will be cut at the end of dinner, why not let the cake become your dessert and have it served or set up on a buffet table for guests to enjoy. If they don't care to eat it then, they can have it wrapped for take out.

If you're already serving dessert,; why not let your cake slices "serve" as your favors? Personally, I prefer an edible favor since I'm always so busy having fun at these events that I don't take the time to really eat the meal!

Pack of 25 Cake Slice Boxes
Create your own wedding favor cakes at each table with individual "slices" that are embossed with a lattice cake design.
