     Construction

We're unhappy with the appearance for the guests attending our wedding and overall appearance of the Hotel. It's a once in a life time event and when we booked the Hotel, in March, there was NO mention or indication construction will take place in the future. We are extremely dissapointed with the Hotel.

It's too late to cancel, get our deposit back and find a new reception site. I've mentioned our concern to the Reception Coordinator. Nothing has been done to address our concern.

I'm planning to write a letter to the Corporate Executives of the Hotel. I will probably do this asap. What are your thoughts?

I wanted the Wedding Coordinator to do something for us to make up for the inconvenience and dissapointment. Help out with the Rehersal Dinner we're having onsite. Or cocktail party we're having before the wedding?? I don't want to be a frugal guest, but I feel we agreed on something in March and the hotel isn't the way it was in March. We're putting a big financial commitment into this event and I feel like something should be done to make up for the inconvenience.

Dear Construction,

Unfortunately this is common. I wish it were not.

Your posted letter is very close to the letter you could send to the Corporate Executives of the Hotel. There is no guaranty that anyone will compensate you. But, often they do. State clearly, as you did here, what you wish your compensation to be and you will have a better chance of receiving it.

I'm sorry that this happened to you. But often these are the things that make a wedding/reception even more memorable. I know that sounds silly, but it is so often true.

Best wishes,

I agree...when life gives you lemons...make lemonade!

It may make for a greats story later on!
